Reference designators provide manufacturers of electronics a clear indication of component placement on an electrical schematic or printed circuit board. They are especially useful when multiple usages of a component are called for.
Allow up to a fifty character designator
Fitrix ERP allows up to a string of fifty characters for designators. Each component can have up to five designators of up to ten characters, each one separated by commas on the inquiry screens and reports.
Designators are visible in multiple places
In addition to assigning and being able to view reference designators as you set up your bills of materials, you can also view them on the single and indented bill of materials inquiry screen as well as printing them on the single and indented bill of materials reports.
