Make-to-order items entered on sales orders create the work orders used to manufacture the items.

When manufacturing products, being able to do both short and long term forecasting can help the manufacturer align critical resources like cash, materials, plant capacity and the labor that's needed to support a production plan that satisfies the forecast. Fitrix ERP Advanced Planning modules support both resource alignment as well as the generation of sales forecasts and production plans.

It's important for both manufacturers and distributors to be able to tell their customers when their order will ship. When entering sales orders in Fitrix ERP if an item is not in stock it is placed on backorder. The date it will be available for shipment is then calculated real-time and displayed on the order entry screen so the customer can be advised of this date.

Due to the ever changing landscape of green directives and regulations and the penalties associated with non-compliance, the ability for manufacturers to ensure their products are in compliance with RoHS and REACH is crucial. With Fitrix ERP you can not only track which items are compliant but also which suppliers have not submitted a full material declaration (FMD) for items that require this documentation.

It's imperative that you know the credit status of your customers prior to accepting and shipping new orders. In Fitrix ERP when a sales order is entered, a real time calculation is made that compares the customer's credit limit to their current balance due plus any outstanding orders not yet shipped. Kitting allows you to group any number of inventory items that are commonly sold together under a single kit code. When you enter this kit code in sales order entry, the order detail lines are populated with the items that make up the kit thereby reducing data entry time and increasing accuracy. Any outbound documents (quote, invoice, etc.) can be configured to either print the kit code, the items that make up the kit, or both.

A blanket sales order is used when a customer has committed to buying large quantities at a set price over a given period of time and usually has an expiration date associated with it. Businesses find this type of purchase commitment useful in that it helps them with their material planning and forecasting.

In the event an item is not available for sale this feature lets the user set up alternate or substitute items that can be sold in its place.

This feature gives the user the ability to receive merchandise at landed cost which will be the sum of the item's cost, freight charges, broker fees, and any other costs associated with the merchandise. This will ensure that the profitability of the item is accurately reflected to include its total landed cost when sold.

This interface with Fitrix ERP includes validation of the shipping address, shipping methods available and their rates and real time import of tracking data and assigned tracking numbers when a sales order is saved.

Fitrix allows you to purchase and sell items with multiple units of measure. For example, you may purchase an item by the case and sell it by the case or individually.

Fitrix ERP sends email alerts to specific individuals within your organization when certain events take place. For example, if a sales order is entered and the customer has exceeded their credit limit, an email is sent the salesperson and credit manager notifying them of this
